About our frames
Our standard black or white made to measure picture frames are the essence of traditional photography framing or complement your prints with natural woods ranging from oak, walnut to Tulip. In addition to our handmade bespoke photo frames, we also have a range of over 1000 frame choices and colours if you decide to drop into our London studio.
Compliment your prints by having them mounted and glazed with a choice of anti-reflective glass alongside your frames.
As standard, all our art frames ordered online are dry mounted. For more information on the mounting process, please visit the mounting page.

Choose your made to measure frames
There are primarily four types of art print frames being standard traditional frames, box frames, floating frames & tray frames.
Standard frames
The most ideal made to measure picture frames for most artists and photographers to have their prints glorified by a traditional frame.
Standard frame window mount
The most ideal frame for most artists and photographers to have their prints glorified by a traditional frame.
Box frames
This provides depth and shadow to your print and by creating a space between the glass and the print.
Floating frames
This provides the artwork with a floating effect by adding depth to the frame and float mounting the print. Best to showcase the paper and any object for that matter.
Floating frame window mount
Our floating frame window mounts enhance the frame’s depth, employing a float mount for the print. It’s particularly effective for showcasing the paper’s quality and the unique features of any item.
Tray frame
Ideal for canvases and mounted prints that do not require glazing which in effect keeps the weight down of the frame. Sits slightly recessed.
Choose type of wood and colour (moulding) for frame
Each of our mouldings come in varying sizes and depths. Generally, the thin and standard mouldings suit small to medium size prints. Larger prints require wide and square mouldings.
Black
The most popular traditional choice for artists and photographers to accompany their prints. The black has a satin matt finish.
White
The most modern and complimentary moulding for prints requires a neutral and light aesthetic to highlight the print.
Oak
The best choice for any natural solid wood with its natural colour and grain.
Walnut
A warmer and more decorative colour to oak, this walnut moulding brings an added depth to the print.
Tulip
An everlasting choice of moulding that brings the natural earthy tones and keeps it light and fresh.
Decorative gold/silver
These mouldings allow for an attractive and ornamental feel to your prints with a smooth yet rustic feel to the frame.

Choose a window mount
The window mount surrounds the print to your desired size and colour to give an added professional clean look, and in turn, increases the size of the picture frame. Although optional, a window mount is highly recommended to give the print more emphasis.

We have a choice of standard glass or anti-reflective glass to accompany your prints in our online shop. In our London studio, our bespoke fine art framing range includes additional glass options such as UV resistant glass, museum grade glass, acrylic amongst others.

Choose a fixture
We have a wide variety of hanging systems as detailed below.
D-rings & cable
The most popular option to hang frames or mounts on a wall.
Mirror plates
Ideal to hang on the wall to make it flush to the wall and less able to remove.
Straphangers
To hang bigger and heavier frames.
Sawtooth
Ideal as an alternative to D-rings & cable and for lighter frames.
Velcro
If you do not want to have any holes in the wall, Velcro is the best choice for this option. Best for tray frames or smaller lighter frames.
Split battens
This hanging system minimises the distance between the frame and the wall and makes it flat against the wall. This also allows for the frame to be easily removed from the wall.
Subframe
This is for larger and heavier prints that require reinforcement and a dedicated hanging frame on the back of the actual frame for it to hang.
